This perfect little human visited me last week to get his pictures taken and I loved every minute of it. I think Miller enjoyed it too since he kept cracking smiles at us (peep the wink and smirk picture, how stinking cute?!) I’ve known Miller’s mom since high school, so to say I was excited to meet him is an understatement! To be honest, I didn’t want the session to end! I could have snuggled him up all day!
Meet my newest neighbor, Tatum Tucker. When this little cutie’s mom messaged me asking to take his pictures, I was soo excited! I couldn’t wait to meet the latest and greatest addition to the neighborhood! Since Tatum was born right before the crazy holiday season, we waited to do his session at the beginning of the new year. I was a little nervous that he would be past the snooozy easy to handle newborn stage for his pictures but he proved me wrong! Typically the best time to do newborn photos is within two weeks of their birth! At 4 weeks old, Tatum was so sweet and slept for majority of his session!
I had this little cutie in my studio when he was just a newborn, I can’t believe it has been a year since then! He has grown so much and has such a fun personality! His big blue eyes just kill me!! When his mom said she wanted to do a pancake smash rather than a regular cake smash, I was ecstatic, and so was Rhett! This kid was in heaven eating all the pancakes! I loved getting to take this little man’s 1 year pictures!
As many of you may have noticed, I haven’t been writing blogs lately. What some of you may not know is that I am still in college (1 more semester to go, yay!!). This was the toughest semester I’ve ever faced and the absolute busiest photography season I’ve had so far! I didn’t have the time to prepare and write blogs so I took a break from it! But now that my semester is over with (thank goodness) I am happy to be back doing what I love, sharing pictures with you all! For this blog, I will be sharing my favorite images from the past several months! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of my clients for making this the best photography season yet!
I knew Chase throughout high school, so getting to reconnect with him and meeting Courtney was awesome! Chase and Courtney didn’t take their pictures too seriously. They were constantly laughing at one another and enjoying the session. This is why I love engagement pictures. I get to capture the couple’s personalities and their love for each other. Chase and Courtney, thank you for choosing me to document this special time in your lives, I wish you all the luck as you move onto the next chapter in your lives!
As if Remy wasn’t cute enough himself, we throw a fox outfit on him, seriously how precious?!! Remy’s middle name is “Fox” which was passed down through his family, so the fox outfit added a special touch to his pictures. We did Remy’s session the day after I got back from vacation. He was the perfect little pick-me-up after the post vacation blues, I could have snuggled him up all day!
I still cannot get over how good Hadley was for her session! She slept the whole entire time and never fussed! Not to mention the cute little smiles she kept making while she was sleeping, how stinking precious?! How could I not love my job when I have sweet babies like Hadley that I get to take pictures of?
I don’t know how I keep getting so lucky with all these photogenic seniors! Maddie was a pure natural throughout her whole session. I loved that she wanted to include things that are important to her like her dog Paisley and cheerleading. If you know me at all, you know that I am a HUGE dog person, so I loved that Paisley came along! Maddie, thank you for choosing me as your photographer! I loved getting to meet you, your mom, and sweet Paisley!
Senior year is such a fun and exciting time in peoples lives. Today, Mater Dei students started their first day of school, so its the perfect time to share Alaina’s session with you all. Alaina is a senior at Mater Dei and if you scroll down to her sports pictures, you’ll see that she excels in basketball and volleyball (just look at all those titles on her jacket!!) There’s a quote from my favorite TV show (The Office) that says “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.” Well I think I would consider my senior year of high school the good old days. So Alaina, I wish you the best of luck as you start the first day of the “good old days”.
Alright guys, prepare yourselves for a sappy post. These two right here are my best friends. Kay and I have been joined at the hip ever since we were babies. Now I’m lucky to call her future husband one of my best friends as well. He is everything I have wished for Kay to find and more. I couldn’t imagine two people more perfect for each other. During their engagement session, I shed a tear (shocker) because of how incredibly happy I am for the two of them. We decided to do their session at Garden of the Gods. I have been dreaming of shooting pictures there and Kay and Aaron were all for it. It was the absolute perfect location and I couldn’t be happier with how their pictures turned out!
